The Manzanil Forum Revolving Restaurant is on the seventh floor of the Forum Building, a landmark construction in Granada’s financial centre which was opened on the 10th of June 2009. It is the first revolving restaurant in Spain, where diners can enjoy panoramic views of the whole city of Granada while they eat, looking out towards the Alhambra, the Sierra Nevada mountains, and the surrounding countryside.
The restaurant’s revolving mechanism is powered by eight 2 HP engines which make it turn at a speed of 0.02 km/hour. This slow speed means that diners are almost completely unaware that the restaurant is moving - it revolves so smoothly that you hardly notice.
